If you are stuck with an AM3 or AM3+ motherboard setup with a quad core or less CPU, and on the fence about a new CPU, this is hands down the best deal on a hard-core crunching CPU for your rig. Will smoke anything else close to the price. These suckers O/C like a Banshee and only use 95W just like the quads.
You must have a decent motherboard though, because the multiplier is locked, so you have to raise the front side bus (FSB) to O/C.

My main box with the AMD dual-core and three gpu's just got an upgrade. :-B Upped mem to eight gbs. and added the x6 1045t. So more cpu's cores for the rest of the Pent. and no more chocked out gpu's. <:-P

Awesome! I can help with the O/C settings too -- very nice on these units. Your mobo's highest stable FSB will be the limiter, not heat because it's only 95W! :D

The only thing I don't like about MicroCenter...In Store Only - and there isn't one in NC :mad:

Mine is a 20 minute drive away :D The one I used to regular in Chicago is smaller but they had more staff available for Q&A sessions.
