View Full Version : Lattice 160K needed for yet another 5 Million Team MegaMilestone

This ones a bit different and tougher. They don't hand out many WU's and some can take a long time to run. This is a CPU only task. But it seems like monthly they release a bunch and we've slowly been creeping towards 5 million from about 4.5 million early this year. If a few more people kept this project open and grabbed a few WU's when they come out we'd limp over the 5 million mark. I missed getting any in the last release and don't get many other times (they go fast).

So if your so inclined, and it doesn't take away from other team goals/competitions, see if you can pick up a few WU's on Lattice for the team. It could give us sole possession of 1st place for # of 5 million credit projects for a bit.

Zombie67: you could use a few WU's to see if you can get back your team #1 in this project. Someone sneaked by you a few months back. :p

Read about the project from our front page at http://www.setiusa.us/content.php?481-the-lattice-project_1

Thanks.

p.s. This should be it for near at hand Team MM's for a bit. Other projects would take more of an long term effort as oppose to this team focus sprints of recent posts.

I got 4 WU's in this project and completed 2 this weekend only to find that they had valadation errors after crunching for hours. If you get any keep an eye on them.

Heh. Fine. I added my machines again. Let's see what I can snag.

Look at that. I already snagged four tasks.

Don't be surprised to have validation errors. According to the message boards they are having problems.

http://boinc.umiacs.umd.edu/forum_thread.php?id=665

Out of 19 tasks I had 1 valid, 16 invalid and 1 error. Not a good percentage. I am stopping mine until they get it fixed.

There are a couple thousand tasks ready for download. Get 'em while they're hot!

Just got another load. Will have to see how they do. Out of the last 27 I had 10 valid 16 invalid and 1 error.

I have not had any errors after that first one. Fingers crossed.

I've had a bunch of download errors, but they seem to be working now (I hope).

This is nuts.Out of 238 wu's I have 14 in progress, 53 valid, 16 invalid, and 155 download errors. It seems like the invalids have gone away but they have just gone over to download errors. At least the download errors don't take up cpu time, just bandwidth.

I have seen a lot of download errors which has always been the norm on this project in my experience.
All the WUs that make it through here have validated fine so far, 0 invalid WUs.

We're over half way there. Damn the invalids and download errors and full speed ahead. There's still WU's out there. Grab em if you can and maybe we can nail 5 million team credits now.

BTW: there shouldn't be anyway I'm producing the most on this team. @Z, are you even trying here or are you too busy trying to win your first trivia challenge. :p

The wu's seem to be leveling out error wise. Forgot home much a memory hog it was.

Mission accomplished (a couple of days ago). **==
Nice work team and a big congrats and thank you. :-*

It was really nice that the project kicked out all that work at just the right time. I was afraid it would take months more to nail down this team MM. But with a little help from friends, it turned out to be a no problemo. SUSA Rules.

Thanks NJCaNS, for looking out for us. AND thanks for your steady commitment to some of the less attractive projects (credit-wise).

I stay on Lattice regardless. Only way for me to know if there are WU's available. Maybe 100k will happen before the end of the year. :)
