Last week I received a replacement for a GTX 465. Installed it and had a no boot problem. Turns out the card was bad. Had to Do a second RMA with the return paid for by EVGA. Just looked at the RMA process for the one I sent back and noticed that they are sending a GTX 470 in return. Great except I run an SLI and a 465-470 just won't work.

Talked to EVGA and within a couple of minutes had the decision from Tech support to have me return the other 465 from my computer and they will replace it with a GTX 470. Should be a nice upgrade and when I get it I will be able to do SLI again. The only problem is that turn around time is 2 weeks.

That's what I call customer service.

Now THAT is what I call 1st rate customer service. Congrats on the nice upgrade. I'll have to keep EVGA in mind for the future.

Wow. That is very awesome of them! As long as you have the PSU oomph to do it, you can O/C the 470 shaders quite high and get some crazy credits out of those beasts! :D

Sparkle did the same thing for me, I bought 3 460's from the Company & the Fan's went bad on all 3 within 6 month's. I ended up with 2 470's & a 480 as replacements that I'm still running ...

I would love to get some 480's but I am happy to settle for another 470 for now. Let's see....can I make my 460 fail. Maybe a 3rd 470? All 3 would go into my XFX 3 way SLI board with the Q6600. Then I would have to get 2 of something for my Asus SLI board. :D:D:D Just one problem, if I bought 2 more gpu's the wife would kill me without asking any questions.:(:(:(

They would like you to believe that...but they rarely do it. I give you a 70% chance of survival. Sometimes you just have to take the risk. :p

Still for me the guys form XFX support are legends. However, I 'just' got a full refund for my broken 5970 in Europe. Fair deal though.

I say we do it as a group. 10 of us buy 2 new GPUs. Only 3 of us will die, but 7 of us will have 2 new GPUs to crunch with.

Let's do it for the team!!!

Those 7 that don't get killedd should have some reward for having understanding wives...maybe they can split up the GPU's from those that got killed.;););)

XFX may have legendary support (and I agree with that) but they no longer are making motherboards and they don't even make to many graphics cards. It's to bad since I really like my 3 eay SLI board and it has been cranking away for at last 2 years.

Replacement GTX 470 was shipped from EVGA on Tuesday via slow UPS ground so I will be back to running 2 GTX 470 s in the I2700K box. Then I will try cranking them up a little and see what they do.

Sorry. 1 on Poem and 1 on GPU Grid. I don't like dirt even though the credit is good. I usually stay with the medical projects.

Short history. I started out with 2 EVGA GTX 465's that I ran in SLI mode. They both quit and were replaced by EVGA. Shortly after getting these replaced 1 quit again. EVGA replaced them both with GTX 470's. Great cards for a short while.
Enter round 3. Wouldn't you know it...one of the 470's has once again stopped working and the computer will not boot with it.
I called EVGA customer service and again was suprised by the response.
We see that you have had a lot of trouble with the cards. We will send you shipping labels for both of them. Return them to us under the lifetime wrranty. By the way we are going to upgrade the cards to the GTX 570 model.
Now if I could only find a faster way to get them back. It is 2 week turnaround. I will put up with the turnaround as long as the customer service keeps on giving me the service that they have. I have used another brand for motherboards for a long time but I am going to give EVGA a try nex time I upgrade.:D:D:D

Wow. Impressive. I will keep this in mind for my next purchases.

Wish I had the wherewithal to 1) Keep all my receipts/proof/etc longer than several months, and 2) The patience to deal with customer service. #2 is the real killer for me. In general, customer service is now nothing more than script readers, designed to draw it out long enough so that you just give up. Each level you escalate up the chain, requires you re-explain a pretty complicated problem, starting over from scratch. Yes, I cycled the damn power! No, dammit, I will not reboot my machine *again*.

With EVGA you register the product and submit the receipt at the same time so you don't have to keep the receipt. As for customer service, punch a few buttons and you are talking to a real English speaking person who even answers any e-mails you send.
