Hello everybody,
james ying asked me to help him buy a 7970 in U.S. He wants to buy a 7970 with the original design (I do not know how to describe it in English. Not the card with the design by producers. ) I have searched ebay and amazon. The price is about $350-450. I am not very familiar with video card (different brands and prices). Could you give me some advice?

I think he means a 7970 built to the AMD reference design and not a 7970 that has be modified by a manufacturer. All of the reference card are built the same and should have the same general look. Manufactures will use different colors and labels but the physical design will be the same.

There are 2 version of the 7970 reference design currently available, the original and a new Ghz Edition. The Ghz edition is what I would buy if you can find one. The article linked below explains the Ghz edition and provides pictures of what the reference design will look like. Cards that have 2 or 3 fans or have different speed rating then shown in the article are redesigns by the manufacturer.

I hope this helps.

Good Luck,
