What is everybody using to cool their 3770k's ??? I can't go with the Corsair 100, the 100 won't work with my Antec 900 Cases. The Corsair 80 will though but their $92 right now, if they would go on sale say for $60-$65 I might jump on them but at $92 it's a bit expensive to do 10 Box's.

What are some good Air Coolers ??? Problem with a lot of the Air Coolers is that they block the last Memory slot closest to the CPU especially if the Memory Dimms have high fins on them for cooling. Prerequisite for a good Air Cooler is that it doesn't Block the last Memory Slot ... Thanks

Alot of people have said the Cooler Master Hyper 212 is a great cooler http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=35-103-065&SortField=0&SummaryType=0&Pagesize=10&PurchaseMark=&SelectedRating=-1&VideoOnlyMark=False&VendorMark=&IsFeedbackTab=true&Page=6#scrollFullInfo

Can even add a 2nd fan if you wanted. Limit of 20 for this sale so don't go overboard :p

EDIT: After checking some forums, the H60/Antec 620 (it's the exact same thing - both are rebranded Asetek coolers) are said to be inadequate for an OC'd 3770K, but is ok at stock.

20's just right, I can install one on each side of the Motherboard ... :p:p

lol ... I'll take a look at it, was looking at these 2 Coolers too, not to expensive & I think they'll do the job as I don't plan on any extreme overclock's with the 3770k's, maybe 4.2GHZ, seems like a lot of guys go with that GHZ ...

I have an older version Antec. Right now its cooling a 1035t and it rarely gets hotter than 32c @ 100% load, oced from 2.6 ghz to 3.0ghz. Before that it cooled a 970be oced from 3.5ghz to 4.0ghz and that never saw anything above 57c and that was on a project like Mersenne. The 970 had the factory installed paste and was a 125w cpu, which might account for the higher temps. I'm very pleased with my Antec.

+1 I use the CM Hyper 212 on all my machines. Best bang for the buck IMHO although they can be a pain to install if you've never installed one before. After the first the rest are a snap.

I've been using Noctua for some time now. Overpriced, yes. Well designed, yes. Overkill for a 77 watt cpu, yes. Relatively easy to install after the first one. Haven’t lost a Noctua fan yet. And if I did, it appears they can use common 120mm and 140mm fans. They look massive in a mid-tower case. They are easy to spot in a full tower case with a side window. Is their color ugly, yes. They are quiet for those situations where a quiet box is required. Do they cool the cpu very well and reliably, yes, and that is why I buy them: they are a known quantity.

None of my memory has fins, so I would not know about clearance issues with memory. Noctua maintains a list of compatable motherboards http://www.noctua.at/main.php?show=support_compatibility_lists&lng=en and I see they also have a ram link for this cooler (the cooler is kind of large size).

Never owned a Noctua unit but I have seen nothing but high praise for their products.

For the Hyper 212+ the unit can be mounted to blow air towards the back of the case or mounted to blow air towards the top of the case. The later config is how I have it up with Odin. And yeah, low profile RAM sticks only with that config.

The Corsair units are nice except for the brand new iHxxx units. plz stay far away from them. Failure rate is above 25%

Tomorrows Cyber Monday, I'm hoping somebody will put the Corsair 80 on Sale for a price I'm willing to pay. If not I may just hold off until it does go on Sale ...

Most if not all the Air Coolers interfere with RAM that have cooling fins so I really don't want that. Anything less than the Corsair 80 & it might not be enough cooling in the Hotter weather ...

I have a chance to pick up 10 Used-Very Good Condition (According to AMAZON ) Corsair Hydro Series H80 High Performance Liquid CPU Cooler (CWCH80) coolers for $54.82 each including shipping compared to $92 New. I've only bought 1 Used or Open Box Item from Newegg & had to return it. It was a MSI Big Bang Motherboard & the only thing that came in the Box was the Motherboard. No instructions or cables or accessories, nothing but the MBoard.

So I'm really kinda leery about ordering the Used Coolers from AMAZON, it would save me quit a bit of money but if their all freaked up then I have to return them. I'm not to worried about their appearance as long as their not all dented up, all I want them to do is work when I get them. It's a hassle hooking them up & then they don't work, you have to undo them & hook another one up ... Decisions Decisions ...

Looking at Corsair's prices, they seem to be getting a little too proud of their Hxxx coolers. Have you looked into an Antec Kuhler H2O 920? It's the exact same thing as an H80. The few i dug up are a bit cheaper than an H80 but haven't found a good used price :/

Or better yet, how about this Thermaltake solution (http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=59_202_605&products_id=34280)?

Overall my experience with this watercooler has been great, I purchased this cooler with my intel core i5 3570k with the intent to overclock my processor in a small form factor build in a silverstone sugo sg05. My temperatures are outstanding with just one fan installed running at 40% speed (899rpm) with my processor mildly overclocked to 4ghz for daily use. I can run the processor at 4.7ghz very easy and it can go up to about 80c on a prime95 torture test, although you wont see those temps while folding, or gaming so it is not a big deal. That is a 1.3ghz overclock, nearly silent with the temps you would be seeing the processor reach with the stock heatsink installed at stock speeds.

On to specifications, the radiator measures 27mm thick, which is a couple thicker than your average computer case fan measuring 25mm thick. The pump runs at 2800rpm which is near silent. The radiator has a cooling surface of 1385 cm2 which is considerably less than than the other thermaltake units, but only equates to a couple degress c difference with maximum overclocks. Most importantly the tubes measure 326mm or nearly 13 inches, so you should not have any problems no matter your computer setup. The tubes are also very flexible, unlike other all in one watercooling units which have very rigid tubes that arent easy to work with.

Edit: Couple dollars cheaper here: http://www.mwave.com/mwave/SKUSearch.asp?scriteria=AA82681&pagetitle=Thermaltake%20CLW0215%20Water%202.0%20Pe rformer%20120mm%20Dual%20PWM#.ULOsqYbXvCU

I love some Reviews, if this guy doesn't think his CPU is running hot I don't know what Temps it needs to get too before he does: Review on Thermaltake

Pros: i5 3570k overclocked to 4.6 and haven't broke 94 degrees under load. Idles at 75. Playing around got up to 5.2 and temps stayed 115-120 during test. Under 50 dollars you'd be crazy not to get one. Install was a breeze, just match the numbers. They are small but you can still see them.

I ordered 10 of the used Corsair H80's from Amazon, they have a pretty good return policy so I figure if I get at least 7 or 8 that are good that's okay, I can return the bad ones & get more ...

lmao idles at 75? Intel's stock wouldn't even idle that high. This guy is either completely retarded or is intentionally trying to make this cooler look bad for some personal agenda. Legit reviewed the Thermaltake back in June and showed it performed quite well. Oh, well. I know the used H80s were still cheaper. Good luck!

Maybe he's taking about degrees F instead of degrees C.1208
