Probably not as I try to get to the 1000 Hr before moving on to the next 20 Project's. I may get the 5 Ruby Badges 1'st though ... :p ... ;) ... The next 20 App's shouldn't be a problem for me but the last 20 for 100 I may struggle with as I don't run some of the Projects you do ...

Here's what I have on my Plate right now, I think the 5'th Star will have to wait for now as I'd like to start going for the 2500 hours: Emerald Badge & even the 5000 hours: Sapphire Badge. Having 5 Stars isn't that big a deal to me right now, especially if their just Bronze Silver & Gold ones. Yup, to bad the the WUProp Project has been down for the last 2.5 Hr's. I wonder how many Hr's are lost every time the Prop Project goes down, I have at least 5 WUProp Wu's waiting to return so any work done while they can't get a new Wu is lost I suppose ??? Had a really bad day with the 3 Linux Box's yesterday, think I only gained about 60 Hr's off of 24 Threads due to Wu Restarts & Computation Errors now this with the WUP Project down again, looks like another bad day in the making ...

Yup. They'll be totally out of badges shortly. Get 'em while you can. :)

Actually, they've announced that their Sub-Project "Harmonious Trees" is almost complete. That's the only Sub-Project I think that's currently almost out of work. So that only matters for the Yoyo badge, and the associated WuProp badge level for that particular app.

Guess I'll have to settle for the Double Gold, to many other Projects going now to drop everything for 6 to 7 Days just to go for a Higher Badge for the Tree's. Good thing is I have over 12,000 Hr's racked up at WUProp for the Tree's App going for the Double Gold ... :D

Yeah, but that is the app count. The 131 apps are from only 68 projects. It's easy to mix them up in your head, I do it all the time. The WUprop badge is based on the count of hours per app. MMs are the count of projects.

But if WUprop was counting from the beginning, I think I would be well over 200 apps. Free-DC shows that I have credits at 135 projects, and there are a LOT that I crunched for, that never exported stats. :rolleyes:

I'll go for as many 2.5k Tier 1'st at as many App's as I can then start going for the 5k Tier. Summer will slow me down though, I'll only run as many Box's as the Heat allows. Some days last summer I shut all the Box's down, just got to hot in the Garage.

I had to Fudge a little to do it though :p I knew you had to be close from your recent Post so I Aborted 4 Milkyway N-Body Simulation Wu's that had about 120 Hr's Total run time ... If you do it a certain way you can still get the Hr Credit at WUProp so I went for it. It didn't look like I was going to get a bunch of the N-Body's anyway so I dumped them to get the 5'th Star ... <):)

Gaaaaaaaaaaah ... Some of these Projects are getting real frustrating, they seems to have an App of the Day & you can't get enough Hr's built up before the next App comes out. Take the SLinCA Project, I have 5 App's there so far but have managed to only get 1 over 1000 Hr's, I was going to work again on the XZ32 Wu's which I have 593.62 Hr's but when I downloaded more work XZ40 Wu's was all I could get. So since I only had 7 of the XZ32 Wu's left I probably won't get that App over 1000 Hr's either ... I haven't seen any XZ22 or XZ36 for a long time now & I suppose the XZ32's are done now too ... I did get 100 of the XZ40's that are supposed to run for 32 Hr's each, they seem to run longer than reported though, so I know I can get that over 1000 Hr's anyway ...

You just have to run the WUProp Project to get the Star Badge from the WUProp Project, it's a NCI Wu, once you join you start from 0 Hour's because nothing was retroactive. The Project Automatically keeps track of your Hr's for each App you run. It takes 100 Hr's from/for 20 App's EACH from whatever amount of Projects or only 1 Project if it has that many App's to get the 1'st Bronze Star. It also only takes 20 App's from wherever Project/Projects to get the Highest Star the Sapphire Badge' but it takes 5000 Hr's x 20 App's to get that one. 5 Stars right now is the Max Amount you can get but that could change down the round. Looking at how the Badge was designed the Project could probably easily go to 9 Star's. I know Z has more App's on Board than I do but I have 123 App's right now with 122 showing Credit Hr's but only 110 over 100 Hr's. It get's harder & harder as you get more & more App's & some of the Projects just dribble out work for some of the App's so those App's just sit at the bottom of the App Pile waiting for more if you luckily enough to pick some up for that particular App.

You have to be careful not to run the same App's too, if a Project has 5 App's you may only get Credit for 2 of them because they overlap ie a GPU App & CPU App at the same Project may do the same work so only 1 Count's. Same for Versions of App's, if one is v1.00 & the Project goes to v1.01 it's still the same App & only counts as 1 App. So your better off to run the CPU Version because the CPU Version will take longer & thus you build up more Hr's.

It's sorta rewarding & gets some of the lower Projects some support that they probably wouldn't get it were it not for the Badge Hunters going for the Badges. Another thing going for the Badge at the WUProp Project will get you Higher Badges at other Projects as you try to build your Hr's at WUProp ... So it's a Win Win situation for Badge Hunter's & MM'ers & the Projects Win Too ... IMO

I used to run it all the time, and then I think it started messing up when FreeHal was messing up at the same time - this was maybe 8 months to a year ago? No probably not, all I'm mainly working on now is trying to get my PrimeGrid Badges all up to Ruby, or at least the ones I still can anyway. That's going to take me quite awhile, I am also working on getting my 1'st Sapphire Star, getting close but will be a little while yet before I accomplish that with working on PrimeGrid Badges too. The bad thing is I get some App's up to over 3000 or 4000 Hr's & then the Project stops sending work for that App so it's wasted time then for that App if I can't get it to 5000 Hr's ...

I am sure all of the lower credit returning projects that usually get over looked or passed over due to their credit return, are loving all the work our heavy hitters are getting done for them now in the spirit of the badges. "No project left behind". ;) WUProp has indirectly done a great service for the collective scientific efforts as a whole!. :);)

True. But not just badges. Chasing MMs has the same effect. Credits become meaningless, and chasing MMs requires crunching as many projects as possible.
