Am thinking about another Laptop again, I have a choice between these 2 CPU's (There are others but these 2 are all I'm interested in):

2nd Generation Intel® Core™ i7-3820 Processor ( 10MB L3 Cache, 3.60GHz / 3.80GHz in Turbo Mode, 4 Cores ) [-$300.00]
2nd Generation Intel® Core™ i7-3930K Processor ( 12MB L3 Cache, 3.20GHz / 3.80GHz in Turbo Mode, 6 Cores )

Heat would be my major concern though, the Laptop is a Sager NP9570 which has probably some of the best Cooling on the Market:

So which CPU would you go with, both have HyperThreading 8 Threads v 12 Threads but I don't know if I would be able to use either because of the Heat so 6 Straight up cores @ 3.2 GHZ might be better than 4 Cores @ 3.6 GHZ, both go to 3.8 GHZ with Turbo Boost ... Decisions Decisions ... :)

I would go with the i7-3930K Processor version. Remember you can also Underclock CPU to reduce temps, so compared to the Quad-core, the Hex-core would have 2 more cores (4 threads) doing work per hour.

And just in case you haven't seen it, a review of the Sagar NP9570 ---> http://forum.notebookreview.com/sager-clevo-reviews-owners-lounges/709694-htwingnuts-sager-np9570-clevo-p570wm-review.html

Thanks F$, I read the review & as I expected Heat would be a Problem, although it has a lot of Plus's the Heat issue renders them moot if you can't crunch consistently. Sooooooooooo I think I'll wait for the Ivy Bridge Option to come out later this year. I can save more money for it by then too ... I know my Sager 9261 I have now with a Q6700 runs around 65c to 70c & that's during the Winter, n the Summer it's more like 70c Plus with the Fan's on High & I don't really like to run them that Hot. It's still chugging along after 5.5 Years & will probably make it a few more Month's. I'll give it to my wife when I get a new one, she's been wanting something for awhile now but she's also a computer illiterate type person so I dread the day she does get something & I'll have to do everything for her ...
