I recall that there was a discussion about a fork in the nVidia drivers. Something about how a few of the cards needed a different driver than the rest. And that meant that you could not mix (say) a 560 TI with a 580 in the same box. I also recall that this was not obvious, and that you had to look at file driver names to see the difference, or something like that.

My question: Has that all been resolved now? If not, is there a table somewhere that shows which nVidia cards can't be mixed in the same machine?

It was fixed in 314.07. But if you have a Titan, that driver still won't (and probably never will) be compatible with any other Nvidia GPU.
