Lol i had actually considered doing this to my 3770K about a month ago. EK makes a kit for their CPU blocks to allow the blocks to sit on top of a delidded CPU. It's like $5 and contains nothing more than a different set of mounting screws. Easy peasy :p Of course it only works with certain EK CPU blocks and all i have is Swiftech and a Kraken X40 so i passed. Only using 1 fan on the X40 anyway. Could always add the 2nd one to bring temps down even more. I'm sure the benefits of delidding would be very noticeable though since the 3770K isn't soldered. I don't understand why anyone would risk this with a soldered one though...

Cool video though...i was just gonna use a razor :p
