Unless you've been living under a rock the last 12 years, you have heard of Bittorrent file sharing. You know, the one that the RIAA/Hollywood Corporate types are all in a rage to stamp out? Well, the creators of BitTorrent have added a new twist to personal file sharing called BitTorrent Sync.

The cool thing about BT Sync is that it is very simple to use, employs 256-bit AES data encryption and does not require a BitTorrent client nor any of the BT infrastructure, Like the Pirate Bay for example. The encryption part keeps it all safe and private. In a bit of humor, the private encryption keys that you can generate and share are called secrets. So now you can share your secrets securely. These secrets can have several forms like one time use, one way use or fully shared. The BT Sync app is available for Windows, MAC, Linux, FreeBSD and Android platforms. iOS is in the works.
