Let me know if you need any help & I'll throw some Box's on the Project to help out ... I'll need the Hr's anyway now that it looks like WUProp will be raising the Badge Levels ...

I am one of the 7 I hope. It's strange, with only primaB for my machines, if I don't set it to NNW, prima will overtake the mass majority of the crunching time. So it is odd as it is a pushy project in a funny way. If we need to, I will open up two more boxes (ie 5 cores) and when my lappy gets back from repair, 8 more cores will be on it.

Yes, you are one of the 7..\m/

Sounds great with the extra cores. Currently we are living on our big margin down to the other teams - but they will catch us eventually...

On my box I run with a 0.5 Day cache. But that downloaded 40 WU´s straigth away...

That is really cool, because being a team small fry, I never seem to be in the top group for big credit return projects.

Is there something about prima that it will dominate over other projects with the same resource share?
(just added 4 cores, should have a slew of prima WU's show up shortly) ;)

Wow, that was certainly a different project startup experience. But it was kind of nice to have all those wu's download all by themselves.

Hey Beer,

Made the switch to prima just a moment ago. 21 more threads added to the mix.

I will switch over for a while after SETI WOW event - right now I'm trying to ramp up there - the Pisces are under represented. :( ;)

Thanks for the help guys!! We are doing great!

I actually had the chance of running a couple of WU´s on a older Core 2 Duo...And this project must really favor Intel!!...My AMD FX is doing the work in about 2h - the Intel is going in 1h 45m. EVEN IF IT´S CLOCKED 800Mhz LOWER...;)

Since I need Prima/wuprop hours anyway I'll add some cores to the fight, but not until the Wow Event is finished.

If they're still using the same app that "runs" on a PS3, anyone with a linux PPC64 can compile BOINC with ps3-linux as an alternate. The tasks run but fail quickly and then you still get credit. My IBM RS/6000 would get about 33k a day.

So, anyone with one of the older macs can run linux and get a lot of credit.

It is cool to see the response from some of the original SUSA crew. :) Shame primaB doesn't have badges.

This happened to a different box yesterday. After a few hours of no work, I moved that box to a different project. I'm moving this box over also. Pretty soon there will not be any boxes on prima.

Edit: deleted the two client_state files in the BOINC folder, then reinstalled/repaired BOINC. Work flow resumed.

I am getting work just fine?

BTW. This is a CPU only project. No need to try GPU work...

The prima preferences don't even mention GPUs, so I don't understand why the box would be asking for them. Is there some other setting I should adjust?

None that I can think off.

You probably already have those under control - like: "run always"...

I has been reported that Prima downloads a shitload of WU almost instantly after attaching - so maybe try detach/attach?
