PrimeGrid: Perseid Shower Challenge Starts Tomorrow!

At 18:00 UTC tomorrow (Monday) our Perseid Shower Challenge featuring the Riesel Problem Sieve begins. Please keep in mind that these tasks include a large sieve file that must be downloaded before the first task can be run, so it's a good idea to run one prior to the start of the challenge. (The sieve file only needs to be downloaded once no matter how many tasks you run.) It may take a while to download the necessary files when the challenge begins because there will be many thousands of computers all trying to access the server at the same time. Downloading the file early will help prevent delays in starting at the beginning of the challenge. Also, for the very first time, we're officially supporting Android devices on this challenge. Feel free to connect your Android phone or tablet to www.primegrid.com and help crunch. We've made the TRP Sieve tasks 80% shorter to make it easier to crunch on mobile devices. (PrimeGrid doesn't yet show up automatically on the Android BOINC client, so you have to type the URL in.) Finally, let's not forget the Perseid Shower itself.
