Does anyone on here use the Shopkick smartphone app or heard of it?

Basically they have stores that you can go to and they emit a signal or something that your phone picks up and you get "kicks" which can then be redeemed for gift cards. My manager at work (and his manager were talking about it the other day). My manager was saying that he is up to almost $100 in gift cards. His manager does it religiously and has like $500+ in gift cards.

They also do bonuses where you scan barcodes of specific items in the store, bonus for making a purchase at a store, etc.

If anyone might be interested, PM me your number and I can text a referral link to you. You also get 2000 bonus "kicks" for every 3 people you refer and for those people that you refer then you also get half of the "kicks" that they accrue.

LOL, my LG flip phone only makes phone calls. Correction. It also takes 1024x680 pixel pictures that are woefully out of focus, too. It has a 1.5" screen that I can't read without reading glasses. But that's OK. When it rings, I just answer it. Given all the money I save by not having texting, a data plan, or a bazillion carry-over minutes, I bet I save more every month than you earn with Shopkick app! :p ...and people want me to create an Android app for Collatz. Right. I'll get right on that.

LOL Slicker... Yes it is quite expensive for the data plans... But it is also nice having the capability to check email, text, video call with family across the country, etc.

As for the app, in just one day of walking around the mall, walking into Target and Best Buy across the street, scanning some product barcodes I have accrued enough points ("kicks") to get $5 in gift cards. You can also gain quite a bit just by having friends/family use your referral link. Once you get credit for the referral, they can use the app or just uninstall it.

I actually figured out that you don't even need to text the other person for the referral. Just need to provide the referral link and then go to it from the mobile device.
