Looks like China succeeded in going past blowing up a satellite in orbit from an eath based rocket. The next step was to have one satellite beat up and grab another one. Hmmm...one wonders what good this will come to, and of course - if they are demonstrating the capability, then we and at the very least the Russian government probably have it too. Great, just what we need to further "improve" space research. . .

Don't be fooled, The US has had that capability for years. Remember Regan's "Star Wars"? How do you think the US was able to secretly (As in no normal Gov. money trail) build 20 B-2 Stealth bombers at 20 Billion a pop? Some of that free flowing cash went to "other" projects.......
