Hmmmm....can't say i've ever picked a phone based on benchmark results...i doubt hardly anyone has. Come to think of it, i've never read a phone review that compared it's benchmark results to other phones, or even mentioned it at all. Phones aren't like PCs where the results vary between each one. I just accept the speed of a phone to be "as is" since they're all the same anyway, between models. You can overclock most phones, but only if you jailbreak them, which is something i'm not really into. Then i guess a benchmark could be useful for bragging rights, but nothing more really.

I agree. Phones are bough on what features they have, apps available, etc.
Which makes this nonsense even more bewildering. If no one really uses benchmarks, why go to all this effort to deceive?
