Yep, they're getting desperate to stay on top until Maxwell comes out. No specs of any kind are available yet for this GPU even though it's due out in 1 month. Nvidia just announced it this morning/yesterday evening. $20 says this is a Titan, with a clock bump and FP64 crippled to 1/24th. Also probably 3GB RAM too, instead of 6GB. Expect it to replace the 780 at the $650 price point.

Pretty lame all this rebadging going on, and that's on both sides. Hey wait, wasn't Maxwell the one with the Silver Hammer or something like that? :D

And here come the price cuts...

Starting tomorrow Oct. 29th, the price of a GTX 780 will drop to $499 and a 770 will be $329.

The GTX 780Ti is meant to be released on Nov. 7th for a ridiculous $699. No thanks.

Well...this is interesting...

The 780Ti has 2880 cores, compared to 2688 on the Titan. Base clock is 875 MHz, 250W TDP, $700.
