Swiftech Press Release - Dated: July 19, 2013 (Link (http://www.swiftech.com/pr-7-19-13-h220-removedfromus.aspx))

On June 7 2013, Rouchon Industries Inc., d/b/a/ Swiftech® received a letter from Asetek’ s lawyers claiming that the H220 CPU cooler infringes on their US patents 8,240,362 (the ’362 patent) and 8,245,764 (the ‘764 patent) and to cease selling, offering for sale and importing the H220 CPU cooler in the United States. Pending final disposition of this matter, Swiftech® immediately placed a hold on shipments of the H220 CPU cooling kits into the USA.

The Glacer 240L is the first salvo (I believe there will be many more) Swiftech has fired at Asetek. This battle will end with the crushing annihilation of Asetek.

What amazes me is how many people think that the stock Itel cooler is adequate and actaully try to defend it while complaining that their WUs are failing or their computer keeps rebooting randomly.

Wow, that's pretty sweet! :) Hope they can pull off the upset in the market, looks like a superior product.

The importance of the Glacer 240L is probably underestimated by many, but the fact of the matter is that the mere existence of this product looms large….very, very large. Putting Cooler Master and Swiftech together in the same team is a huge win for the consumer, and some really bad news for the water cooling wannabes. The Swiftech H220 changed the entire landscape of liquid cooling upon its introduction, and its theoretical v2.0, with Cooler Master involved, picks up right where it left off and upsets the apple cart even further. The fact is, the Cooler Master Glacer 240L is simply the best 240mm cooler you can pull out of a box and simply install, bar none, and the competition isn’t even close. Not just in cooling, but in build quality, engineering & design, expandability, noise….the list just goes on.

Another review of the Cooler Master Glacer 240L: http://www.legitreviews.com/cooler-master-glacer-240l-expandable-liquid-cooler-review_135211/5

In this review, it was also tested using 2 Cooler Master Jetflo 120 fans. Impressive :D

Keep in mind the X60 that was also used in this test uses a 140mm x 280mm radiator which will not fit into most cases.

I'm new to liquid cooling. Can someone give me some fill-in the background/history? Why the ill will for Asetek's coolers?

Asstek, err I mean Asetek, is using Patent Infringement BS (aka Patent Trolling) to get the courts to impose unfair cease distribution orders against their market competitors. The most well known of these is the case against Swiftech (Link (http://www.swiftech.com/pr-7-19-13-h220-removedfromus.aspx)). You can do a search and turn up quite a few news posts and at least one thread discussion about this.
