Yep they finally have a release date. Q3 2014, along with the X99 chipset. Will also support DDR4 up to 2133 MHz. Same $1000 as the 6-cores are today. I am excited because i have a build planned with a couple of the Haswell Xeon variants :D

Veeeeeery interesting! Is this a Xeon or a desktop chip? In other words, what integrated graphics, if any?

That's the release date for the desktop chips, replacing socket 2011 IB-E. You will need a new motherboard for the Haswell-Es though because of the chipset change and because using DDR4 instead of DDR3.
Xeons would be released about the same time. Neither will have integrated graphics.

Really looking forward to this finally! What we wanted for the Socket 2011 rigs and never got. Well, maybe there is a good reason for the delay, let's hope these are the real deal! :)
