OK.. so I was trying to figure out which fan in my computer was speeding up/slowing down and put my finger to barely touch the cooling fan on my HD5850 and ended up breaking a fin off the fan... It is holding at 62-63c with the fan at 75% but I'm guessing I should probably replace the cooler. I highly doubt I'll be able to find a stock replacement for the XFX Black Edition that I have so I'm opening this up for opinions on after-market cooling.

I didn't see you respond to this, but it is an XFX Black Edition 5850

Damn, sorry for the late reply. Still catching up on things.

Nada on anything that would work for you. :(

Have you tried searching eBay? I've come across quite a few sellers recently hawking all kinds of OEM fans for ATI cards.

Check out Artic cooler http://www.arctic.ac/us_en/accelero-twin-turbo-ii.html

They have multiple options for the 5850 including a water cooler, the link above might be your best option. They have a good rep and their coolers are know to work well on 7970.

Finding one is stock will take some searching.

I was going to suggest that cooler as I have three of them installed on ATI cards. The problem is the supply of Accelero TT II coolers has dried up. Up until a month ago you could find them on Newegg or eBay for $39.99 w/Free shipping. Last week I checked every U.S. eTailer I could think of and none had any...... :((

Simply take 2 92mm fans and fix them on all that metal with cable binders ( dont know the right word).
My 570GTX is even cooler than before since the original Palit fans broke down. All other is too expensive for an old GPU.

It doesn't always work so I avoided suggesting that.
