dell venue 7 android 4.3 help

My dell venue 7 does not work with boinc anymore. Every wu crashes/errors out since the tablet has updated to android 4.3.. Any help on getting this tablet back crunching would be very much appreciated.

factory reset in the options???

That would just clear everything but I would stay 4.3 since its a new version of android.. I think I'm stuck unless I can root it and find a 4.2 ROM. I haven't seen anything on these yet.
