The HD 4850 would be an upgrade for my HD 4830. :) I just tested the new [unreleased] Collatz app on the HD 4830 and it ran the OpenCL app just fine using the 13.9 legacy Catalyst drivers, so the HD 48xx will crunch on OpenCL apps (so long as they don't need OpenCL 1.1 or OpenCL 1.2)

I also have a couple HD 3870's to give away if anyone wants them.

@Cineon - might be a fun drive and would enjoy meeting up. As a side note, I finally got to meet Mr. Hankey and had a great time - we should do a West Coast S.USA meet someday! How far are you from Ventura? If we wait just a bit, I may have a couple of these older NV cards to bring. :)
