Hi,
Thanks for the welcome. To be honest, I have no idea what "crunching" is or any of the other stuff. I came across this site & thought it sounded interesting & figured I'd donate my unused computer time.

Welcome to the group from another Pacific North Wet resident Keep Crunching since it won't be decent weather until July... :)

Hi,

Crunching is giving your unused computer time to any project you wish. You will see that BOINC communitty has a lot of useful projects, that goes from search for extraterrestrials to fight against cancer.
When you download BOINC ( https://boinc.berkeley.edu/download_all.php ) you have to add one project ( https://boinc.berkeley.edu/projects.php ) and then you will be crunching as anyone of us do, for human race, for a better future ( on my point of view ), do it.
We are waiting for you because:
Together we will accomplish something amazing.

Welcome. Nice group of people around here. Another Puget Sounder reporting in. Skagit, huh? Gotta love the valley and the tulip festival, assuming they hang on through the annual late March Winter Death Throe Blast (is there a short name for that?).
As Justgeo pointed out- we've still got months of full-bore, windows-down crunching left! Free air cooling- Enjoy.
