This user over at Overclock.net has a pile of 7950s and 7970s he is selling; says he bought them a month or so ago but can't keep them all running because it trips the breaker. He has 48 positive reviews for trades with no negatives. Anyone have thoughts on what a 7950 (non-boost) should go for on a forum? Not sure if $250+ is right, demand should be coming off these cards as cryptocurrency miners find it harder to break even. Ebay sales are all over the place, $210-$300.

I only paid $200 + shipping for each of my 7970s.

Edit: after reading the post....then again, you might want to take them off his hands at any price to keep him from electrocuting himself or burning his house down.:p

Al got a steal from a team member though, ;) I think that actually sounds pretty good, looking at what GPUs are going for these days. Higher than MSRP most of the time! :p

Ha! Yeah I don't need a house fire on my conscience. If you find any more of those $200 7970s, let me know!

I'll see if he's willing to negotiate. I wasn't planning on buying another gpu right now, but I do have an open slot!

Check the post again- this isn't a house fire you're risking, this guy is renting an apartment. Chances are good the would-be Daddy Coinbucks would have left several other innocent people/families homeless. I'm just glad he realized playing with mains 240VAC was NOT a good idea, as someone suggested. Who would even suggest something like that to someone who didn't realize any given outlet has a max voltage/amperage output on a standard breaker and his target cards drew X amount each? I guess someone who thought the world needed more Darwin Award fodder. And lulz. Always more lulz.

Probably would've been fined anyway for tampering with the apartment's electrical capacity, even if it was an upgrade
