Of course more troubles for a widely used operating system, any thoughts on the possible solution? (http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=41138)

At work so can't test it out.

Personally use Waterfox, but on occasion I have that embarrassing moment where I accidentally hit the IE icon and have to wait for it to load in order to kill the program...;)

I got real tired of waiting for it to load and removed it. now I have one program that will not work because I don't have it. I have downloaded 3 versions and every one says it is already installed but I can't find it. win 7 not sure what to do with it.

hmmm. I got real tired of waiting for it to load and removed it. now I have one program that will not work because I don't have it. I have downloaded 3 versions and every one says it is already installed but I can't find it. win 7 not sure what to do with it.

Try this,

Click start Orb. In the search text box type programs then click the Icon labeled Programs and Features. In the left column of Programs and Features window, click "Turn Windows Features on or off". 2nd item should be Internet Explorer 8, uncheck the box to the left of it, then click the OK button and allow the computer to reboot.

After reboot repeat the above except this time add the check to IE 8 then click OK button. Note: Windows may request access to Win7 install disk so have it on hand.
