Unable to add WCG project to machines

I'm unable to add WCG to either machine.
Anybody know about this ?
There has been no change in account name, e-mail or password.
The same username and password logs into their webpage as normal.


This message appears when attempting to add the project to boinc:

Invalid ID
Missing or bad parameter: email_addr


Anyone now why ?

You use your userid instead of your email address, I believe. They are different.

What zombie said. I just attached a machine, and it required my user ID "Maxwell [MM]" (without the quotes) instead of the email address I use to attach to every other project.

I had trouble with this about two weeks ago while trying to add a new machine. If the user id doesn't work, there is a script someone wrote on the WCG message boards that should solve it for you. I can find the link if needed.

User ID doesn't work either like it used to, , but it does work to login on their webpage.

You can probably attach with your account key if you want to go that route. Might be easier than running the script.

Thanks for the messages and help guys.
Adding the xml file didn't work for some reason.
What did work was going to the WCG page and click download their software
(which is basically the latest boinc) in case anyone has the same problem.
That fixed whatever was wrong and the project added ok on one machine so far.
Now for some Ebola wu's...
