Hello team,

I recently purchased the Grid+ intending to use it on my main desktop. But.... the Grid+ requires an Internet connection, and without said connection you cannot control fan speed. I had read several reviews before purchasing but none even mentioned this requirement.

Since I will not have Internet anytime soon, and my aversion to hardware requiring same for basic operation, I am willing to part with my Grid+ unit. The first person to PM me may have it free of charge, including USPS Priority Mail shipping.

One thing to note. It will take me about a week to ship out. Temporarily using the Grid+'s fan y-cables until i can get my butt over to Microcenter for replacemnets.

Looks like a beast for fan management, I breezed through the tweaktown review to see if they mentioned the internet requirement but didn't see it either. Lots of three pin connections but only two four pin connectors?

Quick question, how does it monitor heat? I'm still trying to figure out if its for multiple computer set ups or not...lol.

It works like SpeedFan via the CAM software to read CPU temp at the hardware level. CAM talks to the Grid+ through the USB connection.

I can see why it has an internet connection option, but i can't see why it's required to function. Seems a bit silly...

From my pov, the only reason NZXT did it this way was so they could have real time access to user info.

So.... No one is interested in a free fan controller?

Hmmm...do you think it could be made to do something other than controlling a fan? Like some kind of controller for a sensor on a robotic thing for Kat, or is it really big? ;)

Without the CAM software it's pretty much useless.

Can you sell it on Ebay or Craigslist? ;)

I'll take it if no one wants it

Okay, it's yours.

Still haven't made it over to Microcenter so I'll need a bit of time.
