On 6 January 2015, 18:51:43 UTC, PrimeGrid’s Mega Prime Search found the Mega Prime: 177*2^3411847+1 (http://primes.utm.edu/primes/page.php?id=119060) The prime is 1,027,071 digits long and enters Chris Caldwell's The Largest Known Primes Database (http://primes.utm.edu/primes) ranked 107th overall. The discovery was made by William Darney (William J. Darney (G46VW) (http://www.primegrid.com/show_user.php?userid=257296)) of the United States using an AMD Phenom(tm) II X6 1090T with 16GB RAM running Microsoft Windows 7 Professional. This computer took about 3 hour 42 minutes to complete the primality test using LLR. William is a member of the LinusTechTips_Team (http://www.primegrid.com/team_display.php?teamid=4239) team. The prime was verified on 6 January 2015, 23:32:13 UTC, by Michael Becker (Nasicus (http://www.primegrid.com/show_user.php?userid=20)) of Germany using an Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2650 v2 @ 2.60GHz with 32 GB RAM running Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard Edition.
