I just bought one of these kits.
There are no sensors way out here in the no man's land desert yet.
Hopefully it's only a few parts to put together and simple to set up and run it with boinc.
I'll let you all know about the kit and how it works when it arrives.

Update, this kit needs lots of parts to make it a complete working sensor.
Fire$torm and I both bought one.
There is a list of part that are included with the kit
and the ones needed.
I tried to upload the picture here but it didn't work (624 kb).
