On 19 April 2015, 01:16:36 UTC, PrimeGrid’s Mega Prime Search found the Mega Prime: 197*2^3477399+1 (http://primes.utm.edu/primes/page.php?id=119777) The prime is 1,046,804 digits long and enters Chris Caldwell's The Largest Known Primes Database (http://primes.utm.edu/primes) ranked 109th overall. The discovery was made by Tom Greer (tng* (http://www.primegrid.com/show_user.php?userid=66603)) of the United States using an Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2600K CPU @ 3.40GHz with 16GB RAM running Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate. This computer took about 3 hours 5 minutes to complete the primality test using LLR. Tom is a member of the Sicituradastra. (http://www.primegrid.com/team_display.php?teamid=1596) team. The prime was verified on 19 April 2015, 03:32:00 UTC, by Naoki Yoshioka (oevrtaker@biomaterial (http://www.primegrid.com/show_user.php?userid=386763)) of Japan using an Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2687W 0 @ 3.10GHz with 64GB RAM running Microsoft Windows 8.1 Enterprise.
