Aloha all, i put a brand new Radeon R9 390X into my machine and now every task i do is coming back as an error. I am using the optimized seti@home apps from lunatic... before i put the new card in the machine i had a Nvidia 7970 and a AMD 6660 or some such running both ati and nvidia togeather. Anyone had similar issues? here are some from my event log.

Right now i have it set to run 4 tasks on the card at once with a maximum of .25 cpu per task and a total cpu usage of 1. i have an 8 core processor and have the processer usage setting set to 90% so it should be leaving one core available to the gpu right?

Try an older version like CCC 14.4. Be sure to use the amdcleanuputility to completely uninstall the current one first though.

The cleanup utility is a must. I wanted to ask if you removed the nvidia card also? You may need to do the nvidia version to remove everything there as well. ALSO....uninstall Lunatics before you do it. I've had issues like this in the past and in some cases things were more stubborn than others. At least one time I had to just re-install the OS due to all the opencl stuff I had installed for everything under the sun. (opencl for the gpus both for nvidia and amd cards, opencl for the cpu, and what not. Since you have just been running SETI@home and BU, you probably haven't done the extra to ensure good running on the many projects. Just try the cleanup utility first after uninstalling lunatics. Try running it before re-installing lunatics just to make sure it's working. If it's not, go ahead and uninstall and re-install Boinc. If it still won't go.....um......yeah. I think you see where this is headed. You are not the first person to have issues with the newest cards and trying to fix it can be a pain at times.
