Welcome to the team. A lot has changed since the old days of SETI. If you want to get the most out of your system, post the specs, (OS, HD, CPU, GPU?, RAM), we'll point you in the right direction.

There are lots of optimized apps for SETI which both get you more credit and also let you search faster for e.t.
