A new app! Also, this may mean that v7 eventually goes away. So keep that in mind, wuprop chasers.

Uh oh! Astropulse has been a consistent thorn in my side all this time. It looks like everything else is put on hold until I get 100 hours in. lol

Always in for a new app on currently attached projects.

They released a windows 32 CPU app, in addition to the linux 64 app released originally.

Also, confirmed. v8 will eventually replace v7. It will probably take a while, because they still have all the GPU apps to build and test as well. But it's coming, so get your v7 goals done, on both projects.

My linux box hasn't been lucky enough to get any v8 yet that I know of.

Is it 64 bit?

Will they make a 64 bit Windows app? Seems like it would get more crunching in, right?

Nope, and that would be why. Oh well, I will keep working on v7 then.

Eventually there will all the flavors, as well as optimized apps from 3rd parties. You can see what was done for v7 here:

Right now they are still in development phase.

Just started on SETI Beta a few days ago. I've been running SETI since the Classic days, not sure how I missed out on this project.

Question, how intermittent is the SETI Beta? On/off regularly, or with long stretches of downtime? Need to decide if I'm calling it at 1M or keep it going-

Don't know. I ran it up from 44k to 1M a couple of weeks ago. If you look at FreeDC HERE (http://stats.free-dc.org/stats.php?page=proj&proj=sahb) the "Cumulative Scores" graph looks like a fairly steady climb.

They usually have work all the time. However, the project does go down every tuesday. And sometimes it takes longer than the regular project to come back up. FYI, they frown on using optimized apps on the beta project.

I didn't have any problem getting work on Seti Beta. As Z mentioned, it goes down every Tuesday
