Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU M 560 @ 2.67GHz [Family 6 Model 37 Stepping 5]
(4 processors)

and this is the laptop
Dell Latitude E5410 2.6GHz i5 4GB 160GB DVD Win 7 Home 32 14" Laptop Computer

is it worth using this thing as a cpu cruncher ?

Heck, folks are using 2-core ARM Android phones to crunch. Why wouldn't it be? :D

ill stick it on primegrid or something that i have already run , i want to work on collatz primegrid and set before i start new projects , im thinking i wanna do were i get to rank 5000 or better in each project before moving onto a new project

I know many people use their laptop, but I stopped using mine because the temps ran too high for my comfort level.

And the fans are made as cheaply as anything that turns! They really don't last when run full speed 24/7.

My home laptop is running 24/7 since January 2013. Lived 1 year in Brazil with average temps in room above 25 ºC, although only using between 2 to 3 cores, not all.

Just picked up 2 dell T3500 for $100 off craigslist intel 3.06 4cores-4threads. installed and working great:cool:
