Thanks to F$, i was able to swap out a C2D for a C2Q. The mobo has two slots with 2gb DIMMs, one in each. I would like to replace them with 4gb DIMMs. I see lots of DIMMs on ebay very cheap. But they all have "AMD" in the subject, and come with warnings like
Memory is only compatible with the AMD mainboard/AMD chipset/AMD CPU as it is High Density RAM
Not For iMac,DELL,Hp,Compaq,IBM,Packardbell,eMachines Computer and Does not work on with all Intel Chipset Motherboard
I thought DDR2 DIMMs were standardized, and worked with both intel and amd?
Anyway, does anyone have a couple of 4gb DIMMs that would work with my C2Q?
