My name is Dan. I've been running Seti since the year 2000. Right now I have 45 million stones with an average of 345000 a day hoping to double that number in the next couple of weeks.

Question. If I join the team, will the team get credits for my stones so far or do you start on the team from scratch?

You get to keep all your credits, but only credits earned while on the team count towards the team's credit total.
