Hi there!

As some of you may, or may not know, Sunday 20th and Monday 21st, Academia Sinica in Taipei (Taiwan) organises the Asia@home event.

At a glance, you'll have lectures such as:
- "Shakemovie@home" Li Zhao, Institute of Earth Sciences, Academia Sinica
- "The limits of volunteer computing" David Anderson, Space Science Laboratory, UC Berkeley
- "Lessons learned from running large-scale simulations on a volunteer platform" Carl Christensen, School of Earth Sciences, Stanford University
- "LHC@home and CernVM – a new approach to porting large-scale applications to BOINC" Daniel Lombrana Gonzalez, Citizen Cyberscience Centre,CERN, Geneva.
and some activities and braimstormings.

The 21st march, conferences will focus on earthquake sensing project, Quake Catcher Network, in South East Asia.

The conferences will be held in english and will start from 9am to 7pm (UTC/GMT + 8 h)

And as I'm very kind :-D , I'm going to bring my laptop, a good webcam (Logitech C910 HD) and if everything goes well, I plan to broadcast the videos in LIVE !

Hi Dudumomo, that's awesome! Thanks for sharing this day with us. I'll hope to catch a bit of it if everything goes smoothly, and it sounds like some good information.

Wow! Now that should be cool. I wonder if you could record it for viewing later on. 9AM-7PM Taiwan time might be a bit tough to stay tuned in for. :)

If you have VLC you can set it up to record/copy whatever comes its way.

It will be in live, so if you want to ask anything to David A, Daniel, etc,, you can use the chat function (And I'll try to ask the question)

But I will also try to download the video from justin.tv and upload them on my server or by using P2P (coupled with my server).

But anyway, the video will be available during 7 days after the record on justin.tv :D

I've finally finished to convert the Asia@home 2011 videos.
I was quite busy recently and the raw videos were quite big (65GB) so..sorry for being late.

You can download all the videos (9) here (With torrent and I've added my gigabit server to seed them, ie you should not have any speed issue):
