Enrolled with SETI.USA following apparent shutdown of BOINC Synergy. Glad to be here and continue crunching for SETI and other worthy projects. I have been a contributor through distributed computing dating to 2003 when I first learned of SETI through an article in US News and World Report. My first computer was a Mac, purchased second-hand from my daughter's tech company, and permitted me to log on to SETI@Home on 1 April of the aforementioned year. I am amazed at the technological change that has occurred in just the going on 14 years since I have been a BOINC contributor. I look forward to November when I will celebrate my 85th year on Mother Earth in the state of my birth: Texas.
