Test calculations
We made a test calculations using the data obtained in the test runs to look for the presence of the ULXs in our simulations. We found a very promising and unexpected results! After thinking it over, we will have some valuable hints for preparing the simulation appropriate for investigating this systems. We will update you with our conclusions in this week.
Ultra-Luminous X-ray source (ULX) is the source emitting mostly in the X-ray band with luminosities higher than the usually adopted limit for the stellar mass black holes (i.e., black holes that do not reside in the centres of galaxies). The nature of the source and the reason for breaking the limit are currently unknown but we suppose that they are binary systems with a specific mass transfer between stars.
