Re: New "Deals and Savings" Thread
Newegg has an interesting deal today: $60 for a new PowerColor HD 6950 graphics card. I'm not a huge fan of the 6xxx series, but the 6950/6970 had their strengths. They're great on Moo, and pretty good on Collatz and Milkyway (decent Double Precision GFLOPS). You'll be disappointed if you try to run Einstein, SETI or POEM on this card, but for $60 it would be a good card for project goals or to keep on hand for challenges.

Re: New "Deals and Savings" Thread
FourOh is correct, not a bad card at that price, but I only used the one I use to have on Moo! and MW. It's fine on the other projects if hours are more important than credits.

The Intel Core I7-6700T low-power model is finally available! 35 watt TDP... will make a great HTPC or fanless setup. I plan to put one in service soon-

Re: New "Deals and Savings" Thread
Which projects do best on AMD GPUs again?
Re: New "Deals and Savings" Thread
Einstein and MW for sure.
Re: New "Deals and Savings" Thread
How does that AMD RX VEGA 64 compare to anything NV wise? I'm not sure I'm even in the market, but for that price I *could* be? :D lol... Wouldn't mind something that can game better than a GTX 1060 6GB at 2K (have a 32" 2K monitor is why - might upgrade to 4K at some point but my GPU can't run that, so that's why the 2K right now...)

In gaming it's generally faster than a GTX 1080 but slower than a 1080 Ti, so basically it stomps the crap out of a 1060 :p
In compute performance, here's a few benches: https://www.anandtech.com/show/11717...d-56-review/17 The GTX 1080 is about 8% faster on average when FP64 isn't considered. The cheapest 1080 right now is $440: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...-398-_-Product but goes off sale in 3 days. Next cheapest is $470
A little off topic but SSDs are dirt cheap right now too. Definitely worth checking them out https://www.newegg.com/Storage/Event...46?N=100011692
