I looked at a few I had done and I had one that everyone(me + 4 others) had errored out on it. Then I had one that the four pevious people had not had enough memory to run the WU! =))
I think I have had about 3 in 1200+ that errored out so far. :)

I figured out what happened, some Lattice Garlic Wu's decided to start up & were sucking up their usual 9-10gb of Memory, so with that & the 1gb+ memory each NFS were sucking up on 8 Threads each was to much memory usage & the Wu's started erring on those Box's. I had to trash the Lattice Wu's & now the NFS Wu are running okay again ...
Wow!!! 9-10GB of RAM for those suckers? Must be some serious data in those WUs or something... glad you figured it out though and can claim your rightful place atop the challenge list. Well, first after Mumps that is! ;). It's kinda like seeing the afterburners light up on Top Gun when he feels like turning them on! :D
I crunch as if there is always an NFS challenge. ;)
Just to let you guys know that Greg is committed to free up some space on the server to make it more stable. I already downloaded and backup all external work that I need to run for NFS@Home (post-processing work). That's about 30-40 GB data he can spare to the challenges.
Thanks, that is a big help. I know some of the guys with bigger farms are pretty reluctant to crunch a project when it's less than 100% because of the backlog it does to their rigs! ;) We all appreciate it when the management of the project is watching and helping! :)
I did my part and backups. I am just waiting for one of his replies to me to see what can we do to make the server even more stable.
There's a lot going on on the back stage of NFS@Home that I try to post here so that people can understand what's going on.
Greg, NFS manager, and post-processing helpers (like me), are trying hard to watch for a healthy server. Bandwidth slot for us are being shrink so that download and upload of wu's are optimal faster for you guys. I also warned my mates to backup the data files so Greg can free up more and more space to the server. Every little help is appreciated.
Anyway, from SETI.USA side we are doing a great job. I just regret I can't help on running BOINC but I am helping on post-processing stage.
Carlos
I'll probably have my 5 Linux Box's on the Project until I can get all the APP's over 5000 Hr's, once that happens then I'll be done with the Project possibly forever ... Way to much demand on the systems with the Memory usage & the usual amount of error's ...
The linux version is faster because it is 64 bit compatible. As I said previously a new win64bits build was achieved but it needs testing.
About the errors, when sieving you guys need to reduce the system overclock because the client is very sensible. It is almost as sensible as running an LLR test (prime hunt).
I never had errors while running NFS because my system is stable, I have plenty of memory and I only attach to BOINC one project at the time. I don't share BOINC with a bunch of projects. Maybe there are conflicts between projects.

Note: Hey guys & gals,
Sorry for not posting stats sooner. It's been a busy RL week.
Edit: Should this thread remain in the public section or moved to team only?
SETI.USA members, we are doing a great job. Keep up the good work!
Tomorrow my GMT morning I will finish a post-processing job so that Greg can free up 20 GB of space from the server than can be used to the current work being done. Then I will start another one which is 18.5 GB zipped job (35.5 GB unzipped).
Carlos
@F$ You can post to II part of the challenge, if you want me to post just say it and I will do it with pleasure, I just don't you to think that I am stealing your job. :D

Hey Duke,
Please feel free to post stats. It's all good here :D
Nice I will do that on the April Showers II tomorrow. Thanks F$.
When we do things very fast we don't make it so good. I was posting in closed area. I will post again for public domain, sorry the clumsy crazy Duke.

I am happy, yes I am.
I know the Statistics page does not show it yet, but we are now in 5th place team standing. :-bd
I looked at ours and BOINCstats numbers and we are ahead now!
SETI.USA: 60,112,668
BOINCstats: 59,805,640
That is so and we will finish the challenge very close to the 4th place. If Carlos crunching was counting for the team we should be almost already there.
We made 11M on the challenges till now and about 3 to 4M before that and we still have about 3 to 4M more to do before the end. I would say that all this STOMP may have given us almost 20M on about 3 weeks a very big deed in fact.
I had also contacted Enrique Arratia that joined the team and he is a usual cruncher of NFS, I hope Carlos can join him at the end of the challenge to keep the pressure for the 4th place that would be even better.
Keep on keeping.:)
I lost two boxes. I tried to turn them on for the challenges but I don't know what is going on. One is completely dead, the other the power supply starts but nothing happens after. I moved disk and graphic card from one to another and got same symptoms. I was willing to install linux on both machines but not spend money on them so they will stay dead. Might sell some parts as memory ( 2x2 +2x1 GB DDR2 800 MHz and 4x2 GB DDR3 1333 MHz), graphic cars, CPU, etc. The strange thing is that the motherboard LED turns green but the OS doesn't boot.
The laptop is running a post-processing job but after it I will be joining to see if we can easily catch 4th place.
About Enrique Arratia, I invited him to join the team as I made to others without team association. About his stats I can't do nothing because the challenges stats are external to NFS@Home project, they are hosted by BoincStats.com.
Carlos
Well Carlos I just didn't know about Enrique invitation, but believe is here because of all of us, the team, not because of me I am so sure of that, no one is more important than the other, I am just happy that he join me to their friends.
About your problems on computation, I never thought to blame you, it is a real honor to me that you are crunching with Greg, my team mate, my country mate, my dear friend, I hope to be a bit with you on all your crunching, we make what we can, not what we want, none of us ...
The 4th place will be a hard going with a lot of time, the 5th place was far more than I expected.
The team made for us a lot of very good work and I am happy with that, yes I am because this is my team.
We are the best, you are the best and I am with you all.
