“A man is like a novel: until the very last page you don't know how it will end. Otherwise it wouldn't be worth reading.”
“And everyone must lose his mind, everyone must! The sooner the better! It is essential — I know it.”

As Arthur C. Clarke once wrote, “Either we are alone in this Universe or we are not. Both ideas are overwhelming.” There are a number of astronomers who believe we are not alone, and they want your help to show this. It is estimated that there are about 400 billion stars in the Milky Way galaxy alone, and that there are half a trillion galaxies in the Universe. In their view, the sheer numbers suggest that our ...

Elvis Presley plays his first-ever stadium gig with an afternoon show at the Texas Livestock Show that leaves him personally and professionally unfulfilled: the concert, held on a weekday, is sparsely attended, and the rotating stage in the Astrodome leaves him, in his own words, "singing to a cow." The evening show, however, would break all attendance records and restore Elvis' confidence in himself fully.

Small things can include kids, since they are small :)
Small kids make our life more important and we get bigger and stronger for them, all our world changes and one day they are very big, but in a strange way, is the small kids they were, that we will still, love forever.
Every day we have plenty of opportunities to get angry, stressed or offended. But what you're doing when you indulge these negative emotions is giving something outside yourself power over your happiness. You can choose to not let little things upset you.

I wrote this message to a friend and I thought it could be posted in here because is a bit for all of us.
There is people everywhere my friend, most of them are just too afraid to show their feelings and hide on a shell made of so many fears or behind the wall of the computing and points.
We are small children learning with the world and always afraid of losing the battles of self (and others) respect. Well if we dont go, if we hide in our choosen shell, we have already lost.
Sometimes we need someone to wake up the good feelings in us, that happens so many times in our lives thru the love of a mother, the support of a wife or the hugs and nice conversation of our friends or the the nice smile of our children but dont worry ...
We are still here, we are still alive, the indiference and bad feelings will need much more to defeat us.
Wait world, we are going to explain that what matters most cant be seen or counted, it is not in the economy and it is not in the points, it is something lighter than air that enters on one's heart and without explanation just makes us happy

After helping those that need you, comes the most difficult moment of grief, when you are alone and then for the fist time it comes the silence and the pain for those that you have lost forever in this land.

Dan you always fight for your ideals and took care of the Team Musketeers since the start, so you are not man to give up to your illness. You will be in my prayers and on my small talks with God. I will ask Him for you, for your health and to give you the strengh you need to pass this dificult moment.
I ask all friends of every team to crunch for the Team Musketeers for a while and put a smile on Dr Dan face. So, when you can dedicate a week of your crunching to our friend and former member of our team.

About the next 10 years.=))
I am tired of pushing the update button and looking for apps or cc_configs all the time.
BOINC community was made for people that WANT TO HELP but have NO SPECIAL SKILLS to do it. Some projects and project administrators are making of BOINC a real hell, a big confusion of choices and options.
It is for the projects and their administrators to give the best options to RUN BOINC on CPU or GPU. I dont intend to give lessons for people that are here for so many years but the reallity is that BOINC is getting worst for the common users day by day.
Of each 10 persons that come to help, 8 just go away, it is not that there are less people with the intention to help, if that was true we shouldnt have people working on SETI anymore because SETI is a basic project that people just download and IT WORKS.
There are projects that just dont work except if we push the update button or have the right apps, download the effective libraries, or look for a good cc_config, it is too much for the common user that just want to HELP.
Afterall does BOINC needs help or not because this way looks that we are doing a favor to the projects running them. It is time for administrators look for solutions to make the projects run on THE MOST SIMPLE WAY.
