Nope. That's actually not incompatible with my advice. Well played, sir. :D

Does this mean I'm gonna have to fend off another "Team Member" from stalking my current position?
I hate Moo!...Well not really hate, but am displeased with them. Some Team members state they can run Moo! in 10 mins. or less per/WU, but it takes me 2+ hours to do them. That makes me unhappy. I'll stick with Dnet for that credit.
If I've done my math anywhere close to right, that one 590 card should pull down around 1m credit/day if not more/maybe a bit less, running PG. I would put that sucker to work on PG and leave it there for the ultimate in credit gathering.
Of course being a [TopGun] makes me very biased, but I know what I'm doing.
Lately, I see some other members dropping off in production. This makes me wonder.....what IS it all about? Weather, electric bills, being away from home whilst on trips? Excessive heat in the basement?.......Who knows?
Or should I say....What is it ALL about?
Well....
It's about the TEAM!
It's about the Glory!
It's about the FUN!
It's about Challenge!
It's about WINNING!
It's about BEING NUMBER 1!
How much difference is crunching for BOINC is there as compared to watching football, baseball, racing, or, anything else?
Well, here's the answer..........(drum roll......)
When you're watching TV on all the sport channels, that's all you're doing...Watching!
When you're crunching on all the BOINC projects, YOU ARE PARTICIPATING! SUDDENLY, you are NOT just a spectator, you are a PLAYER and YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THE OUTCOME OF WHAT HAPPENS NEXT!!!
I vote we somehow get CRUNCHING initiated as a true SPORT in life!
Wouldn't that stir up some $hit?
Yo-
The easiest way to that is with batch files having commands using BOINC's command line tool called boinccmd.exe. You can find a complete list of its commands here. Just copy and paste the whole page to a text file for reference.
For a how to for Windows 7 Task Scheduler look here. Although it really isn't that hard to figure out.
One last bit. I have this "Thing" about having to click through multiple menus to run stuff I use constantly. So back in my Windows 2000 days I made a custom Microsoft Management console (MMC) for my most used Windows tools which includes Task Scheduler. The cool part is that it also works on XP, Vista and Win7. This attachment Attachment 207 contains that file if you want to use it. Just put the file in a folder of your choice and right-click on it and send it to the Desktop as a shortcut.
Also, if you need any help or have any questions just post it/them in this thread.
Enjoy.
I'm getting 700k from my 570. That card is 2 570 or 580's. ( I forget which one) It should do 1.25 a day on pg.
As far as crunching goes I don't quite see it in the same vein as football, hockey, etc I hate Boston any team from Boston and wish they never win another game again. With crunching I don't wish i'll on the other teams. Just wish they'd come over to our team.. We have cookies. @-)
Just saw my electric bill. I figured 2 Dual cores, 2 i7s and 5 video cards running 24x7 would really jack up my electric bill, but the chart comparing this year and last year shows my crunching only being about 200 kilowatts extra a month. I guess I can add another board or another GPU. I wanna get to 2Mil a day so another card would do it.
This is really totally insanity.
Epic fail on my part.
I didn't consider that my case wasn't deep enough for my new 590. Talk about a let down.
:(
I have 5 days before I go out of town, so I need to decide what i'm going to do. I can either get a larger case and transplant everything into it or get a new full system. Not running my 590 is giving me anxiety.
ugh.
I have one system that runs, "Open Air", no case at all.

Can you remove a side panel?
