Oh hey! Look at that! I hadn't noticed the change.
Re: WCG: GPU tasks now in Beta
i have gotten some of the beta gpu tasks also, and they completed with no errors
but on my computer, Intel E6750 dual core @2,66GHz and GTX-260-216 GPU, running XP-sp3, when the WCG GPU tasks are running the computer is totally non-responsive, i cannot even pull up task manager!
so i turned off WCG GPU tasks :(
might try again after the beta phase

Re: WCG: GPU tasks now in Beta
:DI have got some GPU tasks but my computer may become slow when it is running:(
Maybe my GPU is a little low~
Intel Xeon E3-1230 V2
Nvidia GT430
Windows 8
Re: WCG: GPU tasks now in Beta
If your machine becomes too laggy due to GPU tasks, you can set BOINC to use the GPU, only when the machine is idle. In other words, it suspends GPU work while you are using your computer.
Re: WCG: GPU tasks now in Beta
Do you have to do anything other than enable GPU and Beta work? Do you have to turn on a particular project as well?

Nope. Any beta work is issued under the project "beta", regardless of which project the tasks are testing. So be sure to sign up for the "beta" project. And allow GPU. You're golden.
