So would a 750 Ti, at this lowered price point, be a good stop-gap video card to get while we're all waiting for them to bring out "big Maxwell"? Sorry, I've just been out of the loop all summer. Thanks for cluing me in.

Huh?? What?? I'm so lost! lol I've never been more out of the loop than I am right now. I have it in my mind to wait another year for anything major. I guess I need to get caught back up on my tech just in case I have to start over from scratch with my farm.
I have 1 Evga GTX 750ti and it just keeps on going, just like the Energizer Bunny. It does a great job and my electric bill has dropped.

I lucked out and picked up a Crucial 240gb SSD from Newegg for $89 earlier in the week. I ordered it and went back to look at the specs a second time and it was already sold out. Glad I got it when I did. I have 2 OCZ SSD's and they have both been replaced and 1 of them has been replaced twice. That is why I went with a different brand. The computer wouldn't boot from the drive and when I put it in anothe box it wouldn't even recognize it.

Newegg is extending a military discount to active and veteran service members, 10% off up to $20. They use a verification service which asks for your DOB, separation date, and an uploaded document for verification. Not sure if it's worth transmitting private documents for this discount; I'll leave that up to you. I sent a pdf of my Basic Individual Record which doesn't show my SSN and was verified in about 15 minutes.
