If you are interested in a Mid-Tower case then JPM's link above includes the Fractal Design's Arc Midi - $69.99. Very nice case with lots of space inside and fan mount points that accept 140mm fans. 140's can be much quieter than 120's at the same CFM rate. And yes I have one of these cases :D

My 7970 came in yesterday. Only got to play with it for an little while. I can't believe how poorly this card does on POEM. My 5870 beats it easily with the same settings. On the other hand it does a Milkyway task in 43 seconds.
Was also surprised at the lack of any type of manual included. The included disc was useless and way out of date. You know there's a problem when the disc GUI has a PhenomX4 prominently displayed. Then when I tried to register the card on the DMM website all I got were error messages. OK, I'm done ranting but I'm pretty disappointed so far. Hopefully I can tweak it for better POEM results.
The included disc *always* has out of date drivers on it. 100% of the time, whether AMD or Nvidia based, regardless of brand. Personally i never use the discs. Just stick the card in, turn on the puter, and download. Far simpler to me since you have to do that anyway.

Anyone who bought one of the Diamond 7970s during the Amazon sale having any problems. Mine's already artifacting while doing nothing but web surfing. Try to put a load on and it crashes. Looks like RMA time.:mad:
No, nothing other than to bury the needle on core clocks and lower the Mem. clocks on Afterburner. I'm now on Donate because I can't get Boinc to run my 7970 and 5870 in the same box, on different projects. :confused: I wanted to run the 7970 on DiRT and the 5870 on Poem. A shout out to Matt. He spent an hour on Skype with me trying to get it to work. but no go. Here is the link about the inability of Boinc to run two AMD gpus. http://boinc.berkeley.edu/dev/forum_thread.php?id=7796
I'm running 2 wu's on Donate for each gpu. I'm prob. going to have to pull out the 5870 and just run the 7970 on DiRT. :( Just going to wait till tomorrow or Thursday till i get some time.
Wait. So you're saying that you *did* do more than just change the GPU clock? Details please?
I think I just ran into the same problem with my 560 Ti x2. I tried to make GPU 0 do POEM only, and GPU 1 do Albert only (because POEM will work on only GPU 0 for some reason that they won't address). FAIL.Quote:

EVGA Signature GTX 690 at Amazon Warehouse, like new condition @ $870, very good @ $850. There are 2 choices for like new, one looks like it may not be repackaged. I added both to my cart and it indicated there were 1 card left in the repackaged and 7 in the other. 1 of the very good. These prices are cheaper than the non-signature gtx 690 Warehouse deal.

OMG... called a friend, who called another friend and im supose to have two 2500k's waiting for me... So cross your fingers... =P~
Update... sniff sniff.. Well had my friends brother go to the store only to find out they couldnt sell em cause they were already sold. Wasnt fast enough
Out of Stock at Detroit/Madison Heights Micro Center ... Same here, the nearest Micron Store is about 80 Miles from me, I figured they'd be sold out before I got there ... :rolleyes:
aye, the brother said the store had actually sold all its stock online before it opened today so im assuming that happened to all the stores. I though it was instore only, oh well... maybe next time.
Damn Ste\/e you beat me too it. Well its not like I had the money anyhow.... But guys, if the Madison Heights store gets any more in let me know and I can pick one up for ya if you can do PayPal. Its a 20 minute drive for me.
Seems like a good Deal >>> http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231487 ... 32 Gb's of 10666 Ram 4 x 8 Dimm's for $130 with a Promo Code for $20 off the $130. Wonder how much slower the 10666 Ram is than the 12800 Ram ???
DDR3-1600 is 20% faster then DDR3-1333 but that is relative to CAS latency (Lower = faster). That is why RAM with higher CAS is cheaper.
Wikipedia on DDR3 ---> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DDR3_SDRAM
On the RAM STE\/E posted, just change the timings to 8-8-8-24, change voltage to 1.60V and it's the almost same thing. Or leave the timings alone and change it to 1600MHz at 1.65V. Easy work-around to save a few $$ :)
Probably a better Deal >>> G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 32GB (4 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-1600C9Q-32GXM For $110 with Free Shipping 9-9-9 Timings CL @ 9 ... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231569
