Not that I'm aware of. Just crunch it. It should be good right out of the box unless you are trying it on android. Then it's as a big a pain as most projects.
I believe the is an optimized app for windows.
Why don't we have a feed under projects or software linking the different opti apps? I seem to recall there use to be but I can't find it. I see DENIS is coming up in a challenge and I have to set up a few. With lunatics, it's a no brainer. But it would be so nice to see a list of current opti apps with links that are known to work as well as a hardware limitations. (cpus and what not that it will work on) I know my Lynnfield is on the ass end of not working a few of them.
Look here for the opti for Enigma

As for why we don't have them in a thread of their own? Probably trying to keep them for our team only, which is kinda ridiculous because they are available with a Google search. DrPop also has the all on a team dl site, but I can never remember the password.
I see no reason not to post them at this point.
I think I added this new opti app to my BOINC from here:

First attempt I messed everything but now I think I got it. I attach the files I edited and replaced on the project folder.

It's running but I don't have how to benchmark it as I started today running Enigma.
You are very likely correct. As I recall, there was a substantial decrease in run time with the optimized application. Enjoy!
What kind of run times are you seeing? I ran a few on a 3770k at 17 minutes/wu running the option app I've had installed for a long time. Just wondering if the one you're using is newer/faster.
See post #6 of this thread.
Sorry, I overlooked it. Thanks.
Looks like we are gonna lose second place.
After a few days on Denis and NFS I am back to enigma. My first goal will be to be the best Portuguese on rankings, for that I'll need to crunch 2M, second help team to keep second place overall or to reach first spot.lets see what comes first.
Well, it doesn't look very likely that the team will hold that second place. With jjch from team Hewlett-Packard putting up 1 mil daily as his pet project, we'll probably not want to defend it that hard at all. (He's pretty much been doing 1 mil daily since June 2015.)
I do have a few mil I want to make here as well, but I was planning on waiting til at least after FB completes in 20 days, seeing as we have a comfortable first place on Enigma for FB already.
I know we are going to lose second place, I just need to run something stable on my computers as I'll be going overseas next week with limited internet access.
Anyone tried:

The new opti app is a good catch. Thanks Carlos. Bipolar is chewing things up with it. I used the old c2d on the other two systems for a side by side comparison. I switched the e6600 over to the new app this morning and am testing it now on it.
I've been using both the Windows and Linux versions for several months and they definitely outperform the "old" opti apps.
You can say that again! I didn't bother testing the old app on Bipolar first to get a base reading. (my bad) My times are as follows...
Bipolar -- c2q 9550 -- 1,644.43 to 3,376.63 New Opti
Sapphire -- c2d e6600 -- 5,396.76 to 5,914.48 Old C2D Opti
Emerald -- c2q 6600 -- 7,492.04 to 7,563.20 Old C2D Opti
Sapphire is a new install within the last month with nothing on it except for Boinc and mining software.Until last night, the only projects on it were BU, Goofy, and WUProp. I'm sure it doesn't know NOT to out perform it's q equivalent with the old app. It does appear to have made a slight improvement with the new opti over the old C2D. Really can't expect too much out of it. Oh, I also went out of my way to install opencl_runtime_16.1_x64 on it and Bipolar to get a little more umph out of the mining software. I didn't touch the c2q6600.....maybe that also played a wee part. At the time which I installed that, I was running nvidia on both systems and figured it really wouldn't hurt the cpu that much to have that option.
EDIT -- Sapphire -- 2,475.31 to 2,966.41 New Opti
Yeah, the new opti app is just a little better. And I'm gonna beat Emerald for being an ass if it doesn't improve by a large margin running the new app.
