World Community Grid: Help researchers find an Ebola cure
The Ebola virus is a significant global health threat and is responsible for a growing humanitarian crisis in West Africa. Currently, there are no proven treatments or vaccines. We’re launching Outsmart Ebola Together to help researchers find a cure. Dr. Erica Ollmann Saphire of The Scripps Research Institute tells us more about the project and what she hopes to achieve together.

Another new WCG app so soon? I guess the race is on...
Re: World Community Grid: Help researchers find an Ebola cure
It's listed today on WCG as an available project.
There is a new badge for it too. ;)

Re: World Community Grid: Help researchers find an Ebola cure
I'm not a big WCG cruncher, but this is cool - I might actually crunch this one. ;)

Re: World Community Grid: Help researchers find an Ebola cure
Has anyone gotten work units for this project yet? I signed up for it yesterday but haven't seen anything come down the line yet.

I think I've had one come through so far, but I'm running a mix of everything they have available at the moment.
Re: World Community Grid: Help researchers find an Ebola cure
I've completed a bunch of these and have at least 50 on my machines at the moment.
Re: World Community Grid: Help researchers find an Ebola cure
I'm also getting them, along with some Beta Ebola 7.07
Re: World Community Grid: Help researchers find an Ebola cure
They seem to be released in batches. Just have a zero resource backup project. Your queue will eventually fill up with ebola. ;)
So far, I am here: https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.or.../pb/oet1_1.jpg
Re: World Community Grid: Help researchers find an Ebola cure
I picked up some "BETA test" hours for WUProp, but it wasn't sub-project specific. Either way, fun to have another subproject to work on and another badge to work towards. Happy to see Android WU's will be available.
Re: World Community Grid: Help researchers find an Ebola cure
Never get one of Ebola till now. :p
Re: World Community Grid: Help researchers find an Ebola cure
Immediately after the SIMAP challenge there is one on WCG. I suppose since I need badges for Ebola & Genome Mysteries, I'll plan on running the challenge - with a bunker if possible. Meanwhile, I can't pass up these big credits on Universe
