    Well I actually got it straightened out. it feels like it's ready to fall off though. They're pretty rigid and this one is very flimsy now. After taking my time seating it everything is all good. I probably shouldn't remove the riser any more though.

    Yep, I put a note on it to remind me. The guide is plastic and can deflect under the weight of the riser card, I highly recommend installing them while the motherboard is parallel to the ground and the riser inserted vertically.
