    FYI, Rocket Lake has AVX-512. It used to be you had to buy high end X-series desktop or Gold Xeon to get it. Nice for PrimeGrid CPU sub-projects.

    Yes, however the 11700k draws an insane 300W under AVX512 loads. Higher tier chips will be even worse

    Yeah, even if I was going to be exclusive to PG, I would still buy Zen3 instead. And If I really wanted AVX-512, I would probably find a second gen Skylake-X with way more cores, or wait for Zen4 that might have AVX-512.

    Interesting thread. Sounds like the increase in cache, etc helped the overall score along with the AVX512. If only it didn't use so much juice!
