Thinking of upgrading MOBO and CPU

ok I got it!!!!!

but now im having problems getting bonic to use both!

I made the cc_config.xml file and put this in it.

<log_flags>
[ ... ]
</log_flags>
<options>
<use_all_gpus>0|1</use_all_gpus>
</options>
</cc_config>

I also clicked the read config file under advance and still nada!

What am I doing wrong?

You need to pick an option - "0|1" are the two options. 0 disables it, 1 tells BOINC to use all GPUs.

Use this:

<cc_config>
     <options>
       <use_all_gpus>1</use_all_gpus>
   </options>
</cc_config>

Save that, Shut down BOINC, then restart BOINC. That should work for you...

Have you suspended Boinc and completely closed it, then restarted it?
Next would to be to do a full reboot.
And lastly, try resetting your projects. If that doesn't work, you've still got gremlins.

Ah, +1 to what Maxwell said. I missed the 0/1.

This fixed it! Thanks to all who have tried to help me over the past month! I am so freaking gald to get this stupid thing putting out some more numbers!

I called asus and they said that it wouldn't work that I had to run them in sli. I called nivida and they said it should work and he asked if I was sure that I had it pluged in right on the power supply and I said yes. We tried to figure it out and couldn't and he started giving me the i don't know what to tell you kinda crap so I hung up!

I got down and changed the plugs on my power supply I have 4 outputs for video cards so I switched them to the ones on the top turned it on and it worked! So really i don't know if that had anything to do with it or not! I don't really care im just gald that I got it working right!!
